On the basis of the programme, a non-Cypriot citizen with clean criminal record may apply for a Permanent Residence Permit, providing certain criteria are met. Eligibility and Conditions • Minimum investment of €300,000 (plus VAT) on a brand-new residency property. • The applicant must deposit the amount of €30,000 in a financial institution in Cyprus which should be blocked for 3 years. • The applicant must show secured annual income from abroad of at least €30,000. This income should be increased by €5,000 per dependent (spouse and children) and by €8,000 for each parent/parent-in-law. • The investor and his/her dependents should visit the Republic of Cyprus at least once every two years.

Eligibility of an investor for the Cyprus Investment Programme: • The main applicant must be of at least 18 years old. • Clean criminal record from the country of origin and residence for the applicant and his/her family members. • The investor’s name must not be included in the list of persons whose property is ordered to be frozen within the boundaries of the European Union. This applies to the investor’s family members. • Any applicant must not fall within high risk categories of persons. This applies to the investor’s family members. • An applicant who was previously rejected for citizenship by any other EU country, is not eligible under the Cypriot Investment Programme. This applies to the investor’s family members. • The applicant and his/her family members must hold a valid Schengen visa. Nationals from third countries that do not require an entry visa for travelling in European Union member- states are excluded from this obligation. • The applicant must, prior to its naturalization, possess a residency permit in the Republic of Cyprus, for a period of 6 months. INVESTMENT CRITERIA • Investment amount of €2 million on first-sale residential properties with option of multiple purchases. • Donation of minimum €75,000 to the Research and Innovation Foundation (payable upon approval of the applicant’s citizenship application). • Donation of minimum €75,000 to the Cyprus Land Development Corporation (payable upon approval of the applicant’s citizenship application).
